Microsoft Office Specialist

Course Overview

Non-credit, Short-term Program

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), or as some refer to it, the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS), is the only comprehensive, performance-based certification program approved by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills using the Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 programs Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access, and Outlook. This training and certification preparation program will help you acquire the skills and knowledge you need to successfully complete the MOS certification exam.

The MOS program provides computer program literacy, measures proficiency, and identifies opportunities for skills enhancement. This certificate is a valuable credential recognized worldwide as proof that an individual has the desktop computing skills needed to work more productively and efficiently.

The Microsoft Office Specialist program is committed to providing students and information workers with the opportunity to certify their Microsoft Office skills. Office Specialists enjoy increased competence and productivity with Microsoft Office programs as well as increased credibility with employers, coworkers and clients.

To earn the Microsoft Office Specialist (Office Specialist) certification for Microsoft Office or Microsoft Project, you must pass one or more certification exams. Office Specialist exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise by evaluating your overall comprehension of Office or Microsoft Project programs, your ability to use their advanced features, and your ability to integrate the Office programs with other software programs.
