Network, Network, Network (did we say Network!) Networking events are a very good way to meet hiring managers, individuals working in your field, and to learn about new job opportunities. If you have been recently laid off, are unemployed, or are looking for a new job you should be networking 3 times per week. Networking events happen at your local workforce, at area community centers, religous affiliations, and more. Finding a great career opportunity is hard work and you need to put a great amount of effort into it. One of the gripes career placement counselors here about networking is they cost to much... networking events can be free is you find the right events. Contact your training counselor for local events in your area that can get you started on your way to your newest career.Computer Career Resumes On your resume, be sure you have an extensive skills section. Break this section down into hardware and software skills. If you have a lot of experience you can break this section down into protocols, networking, programming languages, and more. Adding an extensive section of technology skills helps an employer when they are using keywords to search for resumes.
